ASD - Autism Spectrum Disorder
ASD is a neurological and developmental disorder that affects how children interact with others, communicate, learn and behave. It is described as a developmental disorder because symptoms usually appear in the first 2 years of life.

ADHD is a neurodevelopmental disorder that affects a child’s behaviour and attention. Children with ADHD have difficulty focusing, sitting still and controlling their impulses which leads to problems in school, home and other social situations.

Anxiety disorders cause excessive fear, worry and nervousness. They can affect a child’s daily life including performance at school, social interaction and overall well-being.

OCD - Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
OCD causes unwanted thoughts and compulsive behaviours. Children with OCD may experience persistent, intrusive thoughts or images that cause fear, anxiety or distress. They may also feel compelled to perform repetitive behaviours like checking, hand washing, and counting to alleviate their anxiety.

ODD - Oppositional Defiant Disorder

ODD causes children to have a persistent pattern of anger, irritability and
defiant behaviour. They may be argumentative, hostile and disobedient towards
authority figures like parents, teachers and other adults.

Depression affects a child’s emotions, thoughts and behaviour. Children with depression may experience persistent feelings of sadness, hopelessness and a loss of interest in activities they once enjoyed. They may struggle with low self-esteem, poor concentration and difficulty in making decisions.
